A Waste Suprematism sorozat elemei az olasz és a görög tengerpartokon készültek, olyan erősen szennyezett partszakaszokon, ipari települések mentén, mint Thessaloniki és Bari.
A képek célja, hogy a művész felhívja általuk a figyelmet a műanyagszennyezés és a felelőtlen emberi, környezetet érintő beavatkozás problémáira. A sorozat része lett egy Bariban zajlott terepmunkának és workshopnak, ahol a helyi művészeti képzés hallgatóival működött együtt Csizik Balázs.
A kompozícióalkotáshoz nagyobb mennyiségű hulladékot szedett össze, melyből színek, formák és anyag szerint szortírozta szét az egyes darabokat. Az így kialakult halmazból pedig kirakta a kompozíciókat oda, ahol találta azok darabjait. "Ebben a folyamatban érdekelt a természetes anyagok diverzitása, a homok, a különböző kőzetek, de még a napszakok váltakozása is, mivel azok más-más formában foglalták be ezeket a kompozíciókat. A természet nagyon is diverz, változik, míg maga a műanyag változatlanul áll, nagyon lassan bomlik csak le" - írja le az alkotó.
A sorozat tiszteleg a századeleji nagy konstruktivista alkotók előtt, akik közül többek közt Malevich-et emelte ki inspirációjául a művész. Ezek a különböző plasztik darabok ezekben a szín- és formai kompozíciókban esztétizálódnak - a műveket a befogadó egyszerre érzékeli műtárgyként és egy megoldandó probléma dokumentumaként.

The elements of the Waste Suprematism series were made on Italian and Greek beaches, on heavily littered coastlines next to industrial towns, such as Thessaloniki and Bari. The goal of the artist is to bring our awareness to the prevalence of plastic waste around us, highlighting the harmful behaviour of certain people who freely litter in nature. The series then became part of a groundwork project and workshop in Bari where the artist, Balázs Csizik, worked with the students of the local art school.
The compositions were created by assembling large piles of rubbish found on the beach, sorting through the different shapes, colours and materials. From these selective piles, he then made his compositions on the location where they were found. „In this process, I was interested in the diversity of natural materials: sand, the different rock formations, the changes during the day as they transformed the appearance of the compositions. Nature is incredibly diverse, it changes. Meanwhile plastic waste is always the same, it decomposes very slowly" - writes the artist.
The series also pays homage to the Constructivists of the early twentieth century, such as Kazimir Malevich, who was highlighted as a source of inspiration by the artist. These pieces of plastic in their multitude of colour and shape become objects of aesthetic value - the viewer starts to see them both as art, but also recognise that it is a problem that has to be solved.
